WILTON — The circus is coming to town Wednesday, July 16, to benefit the Wilton Parks and Recreation Department.

Walker International Events Inc. will present the circus, which features acrobats, aerialists, comedy, animals and more at Kineowatha Park at 90 High St.

The shows are at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Each show is between 60 and 90 minutes.

Ticket prices for adults before July 16 are $12; $15 the day of the show.

Discounted adult tickets can be purchased exclusively through the Parks and Recreation Department by calling 645-4825.

By purchasing a ticket, free children’s tickets can be found at local businesses or online at www.walkerinternationalevents.com.

“We get a percentage of the gate from the tickets we sell,” Parks and Recreation Director Frank Donald said. “The more tickets we sell, the bigger the percentage. We have not picked a project for the money because we don’t have any idea how much we’ll make, but we’ll use it for something that will help offset the running of the park.”

Tickets can either be purchased in advance through the department or the day of the show at the circus box office that will be set up at the main entrance to the park.

Refreshments and souvenirs will be available.
