HARTFORD — Pinpoint of Light Center & Camp will hold the following fundraisers at 546 Town Farm Road.
The Rev. Penny Frobese will present a program on “Edgar Cayce on Spiritual Centers” at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 26,
Western culture is just beginning to learn about the chakra system, a system through which etheric energy impacts the physical body. Edgar Cayce, “The Sleeping Prophet,” had a slightly different explanation of the spiritual energy centers in the physical body than what is generally accepted today. This class will explore the chakra system according to Cayce.
Frobese is pastor of Pinpoint of Light Spiritualist Center, serves of the Board of Directors of the center and camp and is a National Spiritualist Teacher. Studies of world religions, the history and works of Edgar Cayce, astrology and Tarot marked the beginning of the exploration of her spiritual path. She was aware of spirit being from an early age, regarding her maternal grandmother as her spirit guardian. She also experienced an affinity and connection to Native American spirits.
The class will run approximately one to two hours and is open donation.
There will be an opening circle and meditation at 12:30 p.m.
On Sunday, July 27, at 12:30 p.m., the program will be “Sensing the Aura by Way of Energy Fields and Velvet Hands,” with Barbara Eckhardt.
This workshop will cover the aspects of the aura as it relates to health and disease, the energy emanating from the aura and the significance of the healer’s hands in a spiritual healing. Participants will have the opportunity to attune themselves for contact healing either as a sitter or as a healer.
Eckhardt has been a Spiritualist for over 25 years. She has completed the MPI course for Licentiate Minister, Certified Medium and Commissioned Healer. She is a member of the Harrison D. Barrett Spiritualist Church in Bangor and Pinpoint of Light Spiritualist Camp.
She has served Maine’s Spiritualist community as a healer and medium for many years, as well as conducting church services for the Augusta Spiritualist Church and the Pinpoint of Light Spiritualist Center and camp. Barbara is also a trustee on the Maine State Spiritualist Association of Churches Board of Directors.
The class time is two hours. A $20 donation is suggested.
