St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center promoted two nurses on the professional development pathway. The aim of the professional development pathway is to promote excellence in nursing by defining standards for advancement and recognizing nurses who pursue professional development. Barbara Chute, RN, right, was promoted to Level III. She is a preanesthesia clinical resource nurse in PACU/Day Surgery and has brought great leadership skills from her previous job in Brunswick. She is in school to get her Bachelor’s Degree in nursing and plans to graduate in December 2015. Miranda Wadsworth, RN, left, a nurse on St. Mary’s family birthing unit, also was promoted to Level III. She has been at St. Mary’s for 11 years.
