- A former salt shed on the Farmington lot formerly used for the town garage was carefully being demolished Tuesday by an E.L. Vining & Son crew. “We’ll reuse everything,” Gerard Bourassa, foreman, said. The demolition cost was part of the nearly $74,000 donation from Richard Bjorn to make a public park of the lot at the intersection of High Street and Farmington Falls Road. Previously, the town had considered demolishing the salt shed and taking it to the Norridgewock landfill at an approximate cost of $3,400.
