FARMINGTON — Police are investigating a burglary where jewelry was taken from Farmington Pawnsters pawnshop at 184 Farmington Falls Road.
Someone forced open the back door of the shop at Farmington Falls Road and Franklin Avenue, Detective Marc Bowering said.
“It was a decent amount of jewelry,” he said.
A listing of the jewelry taken is still being compiled, he said. Apparently no other items were taken.
Police believe the incident occurred at approximately 1 a.m. Monday, July 21, he said. The pawnshop is next to the police station, but both officers were out on calls at the time. It is across the street from The Big Apple convenience store.
Anyone who has information on the burglary or saw someone in that area between midnight and 1 a.m. July 21 is asked to call the department at 778-6311.
