What an interesting statement from Mike Michaud’s spokeswoman, Lizzy Reinholt (July 26), “Governing means having all the information before you can decide. Michaud isn’t an ideologue like LePage. He is someone who’s a practical problem solver.”

Perhaps she wasn’t around when Mr. Michaud hastily voted for the poorly written and ill-conceived Obamacare bill without understanding what was in it and what the impact would be.

Additionally, an ideologue is someone who very strongly supports and is guided by the ideology of a particular group. Sounds like Mr. Michaud’s devotion to the Democratic Party to me.

It would also be interesting for Mr. Michaud to list all (OK, maybe just a few) real problems he solved while in Congress and how many times he actually voted against his party’s leadership direction.
