- John Emerson, left, president of Emerson Chevrolet Buick Inc. in Auburn, recently presented a $500 check from the Leslie Emerson National Auto Dealers Charitable Trust to Scott Knapp, president of Central Maine Community College. The trust chose CMCC as the recipient because of its ongoing educational efforts to train individuals for the automotive industry. The goal of the trust, which makes a donation every three years, is to support community efforts that enhance educational opportunities for Maine residents of all ages.
