- Brodyn Rodrigue, right, of the Auburn Parks and Recreation Track Club checks on William Wallingford of the Poland area Panther Track Club as the 5-year-olds compete in the race walk at the regional qualifying meet Thursday at Edward little High School in Auburn. The top four finishers in each event will advance to the state meet Aug. 9 in Windham. “Tom (Menendez) and Carolyn (Court) have done a phenomenal job in the past 20 years,” said Rebecca Hefty, an assistant and parent in the program. “Each year just keeps getting better and better. It’s a gigantic feeder program for the middle school and high school.” The Auburn Track and Field Club is the defending state champion.
