- Central Maine Federal Credit Union won four awards at the Maine Credit Union League’s recent annual meeting and convention in Portland. The awards are part of a national program coordinated by the Credit Union National Association. The credit union, based in Lewiston with a branch in Auburn, won first place for the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award; second place for the Louise Herring Philosophy In Action Member Service Award; first place for the Desjardins Youth Financial Education Award; and first place for the Desjardins Adult Financial Education Award. Vicki Stuart, president/CEO of Central Maine Federal Credit Union, holds two of the awards while Luke Labbe, chairman of the league’s Social Responsibility Committee, holds the other two.
