WEST PARIS — The West Paris Historical Society held their regular meeting on July 21 with a pot luck dinner and re-election of officers from last year: Betty Jones, president; Ted Jones, vice-president; Elaine Emory, secretary and treasurer. Milt Inman presented his “memory lane” slides that were enjoyed by all.
On July 29, the group had an ice cream and brownie calendar drawing. Winners were Kevin Billings, B. Martin, Sally Livingstone, Jim Lamb, Chris Lamb, Donna Deconzo, Nancy Penley, Chris Perham, Maureen Goldman, Gil Turner, Nick Barker, David Ring, Frank Perham, Berl Bonney, Rodney Abbott, and Peter Collette.
At the July meeting it was voted to to have the museum open from 1 to 4 p.m. every Sunday in August. The hidden pearl can be visited on the second floor of what was the Odd Fellows Hall and given to the Historical Society when it was disbanded.
Many past members, Vernon Inman, Harlan Abbott, Saynard Lamb, curator Cynthia Lamb, present members and curator Elaine Emory with her husband Norman have made this a great place to visit.
