DIXFIELD — Residents voted at the polls Tuesday to approve the town’s Executive Department and Health, Animal and Code Enforcement budgets, ballot warden Theresa Hemingway said.
The $293,167 Executive Department was approved by a 40-20 vote, Hemingway said, while the Health, Animal and Code Enforcement budget was approved 37-23.
Voters initially rejected both budgets at the town’s June 10 referendum ballot.
Hemingway said that the polls were quiet Tuesday, with only 60 residents voting.
“It was a pretty slow day,” Hemingway said. “Definitely not the same turnout as the June vote.”
