DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Annual Outdoor Market will be held on Sunday, Aug. 17, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. rain or shine. The Historical Society will be open on this day.

There will be lots of food, including a chicken barbecue and lobster rolls.

Many craft items will be for sale, including jewelry, hand-quilted items, wood crafts, lawn sale items and antiques and collectibles.

A 5K road race is scheduled for Sunday morning. Interested racers are encouraged to contact Gunner Bradbury at 562-4448.

The Dixfield Congregational Church (Church on the Hill) will host their second Quilt Show. The Quilt Show will be open both Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Be sure to stop by to check out the beautiful quilts on display as well as to enjoy a spot o’ tea.

Admission to the quilt show is a $3 donation.

A tea and luncheon will be served. Cost is $5.

A queen-size quilt made by the ladies of the church will be on display. Raffle tickets for the quilt may be purchased. The winner will be drawn later this fall at the Harvest Fest.

Kathy Peters of Simply Sewing in Canton will be demonstrating applique. She will also have items available for purchase.

Raffle items and a 50/50 raffle will be available for purchase.

Some antique sewing memorabilia will be on display.
