Arrest:
* Edward Todd, 40, Rumford, warrant charging failure to appear on charge of a mutilated license, 10:36 a.m. on Aug. 13 on Congress Street. He was released on $100 cash bail.
Accident:
* At 2:10 p.m., Aug. 18, officer Brock N. Clukey responded to a crash on Route 120 near Isthmus Road. Jason Provencher, 30, of Rumford was driving a 2001 Subaru north when it went off the road. He was injured and taken by Med-Care Ambulance to Rumford Hospital. His car was towed due to disabling damage.
Burglary/Theft:
* At 11:17 a.m., Aug. 18, a person reported that a license plate was stolen from Prospect Avenue. Officer Clukey investigated.
* At 12:01 p.m., Aug. 16, a Rumford resident reported his property on Ellis River Road had been burglarized sometime in the past week. Miscellaneous tools and a small caliber pistol were stolen. Cpl. Lawrence Winson is investigating.
* At 5:08 p.m, Aug. 14, a Washington Street resident reported a burglary and theft of prescription drugs. Sgt. James Bernard is investigating.
* At 1:20 p.m., Aug. 14, an Erchles Street resident reported the theft of prescription drugs. Bernard is investigating.
* At 10:50 a.m., Aug. 14, a Lincoln Avenue resident reported his wallet was stolen. The victim had been at a Congress Street business and left his wallet behind. An investigation revealed the wallet was taken. Heather Buotte, 29, of Rumford was arrested and charged with theft and violating conditions of release. She was taken to the Oxford County Jail in Paris and will be arraigned Oct. 7 in 11th District Court.
Vandalism:
* At 6:47 p.m., Aug. 17, a Rumford woman reported three tires on her vehicle were slashed while she was in a store. There are no suspects. Damage was estimated at $400. Cpl. Winson is investigating.
