NEWRY — Planning Board members will meet 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, in the Town Office to learn about a requested revision for Timber Village, an old subdivision, Administrator Loretta Powers said Tuesday morning.

Also, the board will consider its findings of fact for Main-Land Development’s Mountainside Homes subdivision and The Eddy School.

Discussion items include Planning Board bylaws and ordinance and fire suppression requirements of the Unified Development Review Ordinance.

The next Board of Selectmen meeting will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, in the Town Office, and the school vote is scheduled for Sept. 24, also at the Town Office.

The school vote is from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. by secret ballot to see if residents favor filing a petition for withdrawal with the SAD 44 Board of Directors and the state commissioner of education, authorizing the Withdrawal Committee to spend $50,000. The vote would also authorize the municipal officers to issue notes in the name of the town or otherwise pledge the credit of the town for up to $50,000 for the effort.

A public hearing on the matter was held Aug. 5.
