- Mark Emmons bales hay on a 25-acre field beside the River Road in Livermore on Wednesday. Emmons uses the hay to feed his livestock at White Birch Farm and sells some of it. He said the hay is a little behind schedule because of a wet season. “Everyone is behind the eight ball this year,” he said while greasing his tractor with his son-in-law, Dan Tremblay. “I have been farming forever. Ain’t smart enough to get out of it,” Emmons said.
