EAST DIXFIELD — The wedding of Kirstin Niomi Blood and Zachary Reid Smith was held at 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 4 at the East Dixfield United Baptist Church. Pastor Roger Labbe officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Smith is the daughter of Wendell and Louise Blood of East Dixfield. Mr. Smith is the son of Laurel and Lee Walker of East Dixfield.

The bride wore a floor-length white satin gown with beaded lace accents, which she made with the help of her mother. Her flowers were arranged by her mother and great-aunt, Gaylene Cooper.

Julia Richardson, college friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Chlorissa Plaisted, older sister of the bride, Krystal Blood, younger sister of the bride, and Nicole Tombarelli, friend from college. Hannah Marcoux, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

Luke Angell, friend of the bridegroom from college, served as best man. Ushers were Isaac Angell, Jacob Angell and Justin Braun, friends of the bridegroom from college. Elijah Walker, younger brother of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at Murray Hall in Livermore Falls.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is currently working as a registered nurse in northern New York.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. He is currently attending Paul Smith’s College in northern New York and working part-time at Tupper Lake Hardwoods Sawmill.
