Experienced and very effective — that is how I would describe John Cleveland in his bid for re-election to the state Senate. He represents Auburn and several surrounding towns.

I have known Cleveland, going way back. He has held many elected positions. His colleagues, both in Auburn and Augusta, have respected him for his hard work on behalf of the citizens in his district.

He worked very hard to help pass a state referendum to establish the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College, which won approval — not an easy job.

It looks like John Cleveland is very willing to put his credibility on any bill that benefits the voters in his district and the state of Maine.
