OXFORD — Police said two local woman were transported to Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway on Monday afternoon after a truck and car collided at Pottle and Webber Brook roads.
According to Oxford police Lt. Mike Ward, Mindy Robinson, 26, and Patricia Thomas, 57, both of Webber Brook Road, were taken to the hospital complaining of pain with possible broken bones.
The crash occurred as Robinson was attempting to turn left from Pottle Road onto Webber Brook Road and Thomas was driving through the intersection on Webber Brook Road, Ward said.
“Both ladies were very lucky,” Ward said.
Speed was not believed to be a factor, he said.
Robinson was driving a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire and Thomas was driving a Ford F150 truck. Both vehicles were demolished and towed from the scene.
