CHESTERVILLE – Selectmen will hold a special town meeting Thursday, Sept. 18, to consider buying a new, all-season truck body and appliances for the kitchen at the Town Hall.
Residents will also be asked to consider renaming the new section of the George Thomas Road the Webber Road.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall.
Residents will be asked to transfer $20,000 from the undesignated amount of the general fund and to take the balance for a new truck body for a wheeler from the Equipment Reserve Account, according to the town meeting warrant.
Voters will also be asked to transfer the remaining amount from reconstruction of the Town Office and purchase of the voting booths in the Office Maintenance Account to buy appliances for the kitchen because it is the designated official emergency shelter for residents.
