PARIS — Freshman Kajha Gagnon scored on a free kick from 24 yards out with 26 minutes left in regulation to give Lewiston a 1-0 win over Oxford Hills in girls’ soccer action Tuesday.

The Blue Devils (2-3) outpaced the Vikings (1-2-1) in shots with a 14-8 margin.

Goalie Annika Kakonen made eight saves for Oxford Hills, while goalie Kelsey St. Cyr turned back four to earn the win in net for Lewiston

Lawrence 1, Mt. Blue 0

FARMINGTON — Sophomore forward Morgan Boudreau scored the lone goal on a scramble to lift Lawrence to a 1-0 victory over Mt. Blue in KVAC girls’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

The Bulldogs (2-1-2) scored their one tally in a relaxed first half. More scoring opportunities materialized in the second frame. But, no one capitalized on them.

Goalie Addie Schenz made 13 saves for the Cougars (2-1-1), while goalie Lauren Wadleigh stopped eight to earn the win in net for Lawrence.

Cape Elizabeth 8, Poland 0

POLAND — Senior forward Katheryn Clark notched a hat trick to lead Cape Elizabeth to an 8-0 blanking over Poland in WMC girls’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

The Capers (3-2) bounced out to a 5-0 first half lead. The offense put on a solid display with a 32-2 margin in shots.

Goalies Haley Whitworth and Erin Brewer combined for 25 saves for the Knights (1-2).

Richmond 5, Rangeley 0

SALEM — Meranda Martin and Amber Loon scored a pair of goals each as Richmond coasted to a 5-0 victory over Rangeley in MVC girls’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

The Bobcats (4-0) dominated on offense, outshooting their opponents 34-5 in the contest.

Goalie Sydney Royce made 24 saves for the Lakers (2-1), while goalie Keslie Obi prevented three to earn the win in net for Richmond.

Monmouth 7, Boothbay 0

BOOTHBAY — Junior forward Haley Fletcher recorded three goals to lead Monmouth to a 7-0 shutout victory over Boothbay in MVC girls’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

The Mustangs (5-0) opened up the scoring with a single first half tally at the 37:49 mark. The offense did not score again until there was 13 minutes remaining in regulation, at which time it planted six unanswered goals.

Goalie Jamie Wheeler prevented nine shots for the Seahawks (0-4), while goalie Mikayla Cameron stopped a pair to earn the win in net for Monmouth.

Mountain Valley 8, Winthrop 0

RUMFORD — Emily Laubauskas led a group of four players to record goals Tuesday as Mountain Valley overpowered Winthrop, 8-0, in an MVC girls’ soccer matchup.

Laubauskas scored three times for the Falcons (2-2), while Ashley Russell and Abby Mazza chipped in with two goals each. Sarah Klein also tallied to complete the scoring.

Karen Flaherty needed only three saves to notch the shutout, while Brooke Dufour turned aside 18 shots between the posts for Winthrop.

BETHEL — Sally Stevens led a trio of players to post goals as Mt. Abram cruised to a 3-0 win over Telstar in another early-season MVC contest Tuesday.

Alora Ross and Sophie White also tallied for the Roadrunners (2-3) to complete the scoring.

Abby Brackley made three saves to notch the shutout, while Tehya Johnson deflected 12 shots for the winless Rebels (0-4).

Winslow 2, Leavitt 1

TURNER — Madison Morneault scored on a corner kick late in the first frame to give Winslow a 2-1 win over Leavitt in a KVAC tilt Tuesday.

Meg Nadeau gave the Black Raiders (1-3) a 1-0 advantage when she redirected a loose ball at the 9:46 mark of the first half. Shannon O’Malley tallied for the Hornets (1-2-1) to cut Winslow’s lead in half with 10:45 left before the break.

Hillary Libby made 12 saves for Winslow, while Angela Daigle turned back seven shots for Leavitt.

Hall-Dale 5, Wiscasset 0

FARMINGDALE — The talented sister act of Dani and Thea Sweet combined for four goals Tuesday as Hall-Dale overpowered Wiscasset 5-0 in mid-season girls’ soccer action.

Lilly Ly also tallied for the Bulldogs (3-1) to complete the scoring. Shie Smith tallied for Wiscasset to prevent a shutout.

Olivia Maynard needed only four saves to notch the win, while Kayla Gordon deflected nine shots for the Wolverines (3-1).

Waterville 6, Spruce Mountain 0

JAY — Pilar Elias registered a hat trick Tuesday to propel Waterville to a 6-0 romp over Spruce Mountain in more KVAC girls’ soccer action.

Sarah Shoulta, Lydia Roy and Amber Delaney also tallied for the Panthers to complete the scoring.

Gabrielle Martin needed just a single save to preserve the shutout.

St. Dom’s 3, Oak Hill 1

WALES — Faith Grady netted a goal in each half Tuesday as St. Dom’s came away with a 3-1 victory over Oak Hill.

Kirsten Conner also tallied for the Saints to complete the scoring.

Nicole Robitaille made 14 saves for St. Dom’s, while Anna Dodge turned back 13 shots for Oak Hill.

SKOWHEGAN — Allison Boulier and Amy Fahey scored two goals apiece as Bangor overpowered Skowhegan, 10-0, in girls’ soccer action Tuesday.

Mary Butler, Katie Butler, Eve George, Ali Trimper, Maude Cormier and Erynne Souda also tallied for Bangor to complete the scoring.

Emily Gilmore made four saves for Bangor, while Maddy Schraeder and Tara Bernard combined to record 14 saves for Skowhegan.

DIXFIELD — The Lisbon girls’ soccer squad pulled out a narrow victory Tuesday, scoring a goal with just 28 seconds left in overtime to post a 2-1 win over Dirigo.

Deliah Schreiber also tallied for the Greyhounds to complete the scoring. Megan Bradbury scored for the Cougars to prevent a shutout.

Alexandra Sult made nine saves for Lisbon, while Mariah LaFleur deflected eight shots for Dirigo.

Sacopee Valley 5, Buckfield 2

BUCKFIELD — Devin Day netted a pair of goals Tuesday to propel Sacopee Valley to a 5-2 victory over Buckfield in a boys’ soccer matchup.

Will Goforth, Ernie Allard and Blake Trueworthy also tallied for the Hawks (1-1-1) to complete the scoring. Jon Randolph and Jacob Kraske each scored a goal for the Bucks (3-1).

Mike Pingree made 14 saves for Sacopee Valley, while Zack Grover turned back eight shots between the posts for Buckfield.

John Wright needed only three saves to notch the shutout, while John-Henry Villanueva turned aside 12 shots between the posts for Gray New-Gloucester (1-2).

WINSLOW — Jimmy Fowler led a trio of players to register goals Tuesday as Winslow snuck past Leavitt, 3-1, in boys’ soccer action.

Cody Doughty and Evan Clark also tallied for the Black Raiders (3-1) to complete the scoring. Evan Clark (no relation) scored for the Hornets (2-2) to prevent a shutout.

Alex Berard made three saves for Winslow, while Ben Fullerton deflected five shots between the posts for Leavitt.

LEWISTON — Junior forward Abdi Shariff collected a hat trick as Lewiston blanketed Oxford Hills 6-0 in KVAC boys’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

The Blue Devils (5-0) scoerd two goals in the first six minutes.

Abdulkarim Abdulle contributed a goal and three assists for Lewiston.

Goalie Jake Beauchesne repelled seven shots, while goalies Austin Wing and Tom Jumper combined for five saves in the winning effort.
