AUGUSTA (AP) — A police raid on an Augusta apartment has resulted in two arrests and the seizure of a variety of illegal drugs worth an estimated $30,000.

Police say 38-year-old Franklin Arbour Jr., of Augusta, and 32-year-old Angie Sousa, of Farmingdale, were arrested Wednesday on River Street on drug trafficking and other charges.

The Kennebec Journal (http://bit.ly/1mld6pL ) reported that police also seized 1,250 bags of heroin, 24 grams of cocaine, 13 grams of bath salts and more than 100 marijuana plants.

Police received a search warrant in connection with an investigation of a series of burglaries and thefts.

Both are being held in jail on bail pending their initial court appearances. Arbour has history of prior drug arrests.
