PARIS — An Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School teacher received minor injuries Friday morning when he was struck by a vehicle near the front entrance.
Kyle Jordan, 45, SAD 17’s music department chairman, was treated and released at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway. He was back in the classroom Friday morning, Assistant Superintendent Patrick Hartnett said.
Police Chief Michael Madden said Jordan was struck by a car being driven 43-year-old Hope Covert of Paris, a parent who was leaving the front entrance loop and was blinded by the early morning sun. She was driving slowly, he said.
A witness reported Jordan was texting at the time he was struck, but Jordan denied it, Madden said.
No charges have been filed.
