Fair bear hunting should not be just an expression. Back in the day, people actually hunted for bears. You know — “hunted,” as in “looked for.”
But leaving a pile of food in the woods and waiting until bears come to eat it then shooting them — that’s not hunting, that’s bear execution.
Have hunters gotten so lazy they don’t want the trouble of going through the woods looking for bears, but instead just sit someplace until the bears come to them? Since when is that considered “hunting”?
I will be voting “yes” on Question One to bring back fair bear hunting.
