It has been the Shawn Warren Show on the Exotics Tour Pro-Am Series for its two years of existence.

Last week, he captured his third Exotics championship in five attempts during 2014, which made him the tour’s No. 1 money winner. It has been yet another profitable season for Warren, who doubled the Tour’s second place money leader in terms of cash.

With unofficial season prize money totals, the Tour’s top 10 are:

Warren, the 29-year-old Windham High School graduate, used local knowledge to shoot a 68 to pace the fifth and final tournament field last Tuesday at the Falmouth Country Club, where he is employed as assistant pro. That said, he has finished first in seven of 10 Exotics Tour events in 2013 and 2014. In recent years, he has won $14,000 in the 2013 New England PGA Section Championship, a Rhode Island Open title and going back he was the 2004 Maine Open winner as an amateur and the 2006 Maine Amateur titlist.

With the Maine season close to completed, Warren will travel to the Atlanta (Ga.) Standard Club Oct. 7-10 to complete in Stage 1 of PGA Tour Q School. He has made it to Stage 2 of Q School three of the past five years, The goal for this fall is to get through Stage 2 to gain status on the Web.com Tour.

Once Q School is over, Warren heads south for the winter.

” I own a condo in Orlando, Fla.” Warren said. “So there are lots of pro tournaments there over the winter.”

Warren admits that a year ago as an assistant pro at Nonesuch River, he knew nothing about the Exotics Tour, but he is glad he found about about it.

“I think the participation is remarkable,” he said of the tour’s rising popularity. “They do a great job of promoting. For me, knowing the courses has helped.”
