INDUSTRY — Franklin County deputies are investigating a burglary at an Industry Road home where an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from an unlocked safe, Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. said Thursday.

The burglary was reported Thursday morning. Deputies Matthew Brann and Nicholas Zecher responded to call.

The resident believed someone had been in her house, but deputies found no sign of forced entry. Money from a safe that didn’t lock was missing, Nichols said.

The resident didn’t know exactly when it was taken, he said.

Deputies have collected DNA evidence and conducted interviews.
