PORTLAND (AP) — Maine is looking for a few good chicken coops.

The University of Maine Cooperative Extension and Maine Poultry Growers Association are looking for entries into the 2015 Maine Poultry Coop Contest. The groups are accepting the submissions until Nov. 1. The contest is open to farmers and hobbyists.

University of Maine officials say the contest recognizes poultry growers for their “valuable and creative” ideas for coop design and use. The entries can be designed for any species of chicken.

The first place winner of the contest will win $150. Winners are announced at the State of Maine Agricultural Trades Show in Augusta.
