PARIS — Charges may be pending for people questioned by police Thursday in connection to an incident that has left a 19-year-old Peru man in critical condition in the hospital.
No arrests in the case have been made. Oxford County Chief Deputy Hart Daley said Thursday that police have interviewed two persons of interest in the case and intend to question a third before releasing additional information.
Daley said the man’s status had improved, but he remained in serious condition.
The Sun Journal has not released the name of the victim, because it has not been able to verify the man’s identity with family members.
Daley said previously that the incident occurred at about 8 p.m. Monday, and the injured party was taken by ambulance to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, where he is being treated for serious injuries.
