Allen Ward and Lewiston City Clerk Kathy Montejo carry voting materials out of storage at City Hall on Thursday. Ward and Montejo helped set up voting booths in City Council chambers so Lewiston residents can vote by absentee ballot. Residents can vote from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 through Thursday, Oct. 30. City Hall is not open on Saturday and Sunday, but Montejo said the polls will stay open until 7 p.m. on Oct. 30. Lewiston voters will have three ballots to fill out. One is for municipal questions on marijuana and downtown housing. One is for State of Maine initiatives and bond question and the other is for general election of state, federal and county candidates.
