- After carving a ghost in his pumpkin Saturday at the Hillside Sports Club’s fourth annual pumpkin carving event in the Livermore Falls Fire Station, Rowdy Eaton, 6, of Lewiston, hugs his jack-o’-lantern, which he named “Scarecrow.” Event organizer Bre Hewins of Fayette said a steady crowd of children and their families carved about 50 pumpkins in the first two hours of the four-hour event. The jack-o’-lanterns will be placed along Foundry Road, which travels behind the Town Office to the Recreation Field. The pumpkins will be lit up for the annual Pumpkin Walk, to be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 25 and 26.
