Bissonnette

LEWISTON — The wedding of Amber Crystal Ouellette and Matthew Joseph Bissonnette was held at 1 p.m. on Aug. 9 at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Lewiston. The Rev. Aaron Damboise officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Bissonnette is the daughter of David and Lisa Ouellette of Lewiston. Mr. Bissonnette is the son of Paul and Jean Bissonnette of Lewiston.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory gown with lace and carried a bouquet of yellow and ivory flowers.

Carolyn Lambert, a dear friend, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Laurie Bissonnette and Renee Grant, cousins of the bridegroom. Anna Prosser, a cousin of the bridegroom, was junior bridesmaid.

Jacob Chaloux, a childhood friend, was best man. Ushers were Jerod Bechard, childhood friend, Nathan Fogg, friend, and Dylan Higgins, cousin of the bridegroom.

A reception followed at the Carriage House in Lewiston, after which the couple traveled to Bear Mountain Lodge in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. They are residing in Westbrook.

The bride received her bachelor’s degree in elementary teaching and is a kindergarten teacher at Elm Street School in Mechanic Falls.

The bridegroom received his bachelor’s degree in leadership and organizational skills and is currently working on his master’s degree in business. He is a department manager of the inside garden at Lowe’s Home Improvement.
