RUMFORD — The holiday edition of Today River Valley, a community journalism news video feature program for the towns of the upper Androscoggin River Valley, is now available.
Author Phil Blampied of Rumford launched the program in the fall of 2012.
The holiday 2014 edition includes:
* A look at the free horse and wagon rides in Bethel village.
* How efforts to educate the public about Lyme disease have gotten local people involved in a national controversy.
* A ragtime music concert at Rumford town hall that brings century old music to a century old building.
* A consultant advising Rumford and Mexico officials about whether they can merge their two town governments (two parts), although they didn’t get much help.
* The Dirigo High School golf team turning in a winning season.
