For more than 30 years, children have traditionally painted Halloween pictures on the windows of downtown Farmington businesses. Jenna Pond, 8, of Temple paints a pumpkin, monster and tree at the Homestead Bakery. The Halloween window painting, sponsored by the Farmington Rotary Club, was held Wednesday despite the rain. Members of Mt. Blue Interact Club and Jobs for Maine’s Graduates helped register children and separate paints. Members of Rotaract at the University of Maine at Farmington provided hot chocolate to painters and parents.

The window painting, postponed from Friday, is sponsored by the Farmington Rotary Club.
