KINGFIELD — Quilt artisan Jessica O’Brien will hold an opening reception for Notions Studio from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, coinciding with the Kingfield Friday Art Walk. The quilting studio and craft gallery is located in space next the Herbert Grand Hotel, 246½ Main St., Kingfield.

The opening will exhibit O’Brien’s current, in-production work and feature several quilts made by her grandmother, Rebecca Strickland. Additional fiber crafts including, but not limited to, felting, knitting, crochet, embroidery, etc., by various Maine artisans may also be presented and available for purchase.

Notions Studio is first and foremost O’Brien’s work space and as quilts are produced they will be for sale. She also hopes to provide a venue for other Maine fiber artists and will have rotating space available for consignment pieces. In addition to newly created home decor, jewelry and wardrobe accessories, vintage and antique pieces will be on retail display.

Regular hours to the public are: Wednesday and Thursday, 2-5 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call 867-5309 for more information.
