Voters in Gray and New Gloucester on Tuesday defeated a $6.62 million bond for school construction, athletic field and other projects proposed by Regional School Unit 15. The vote was 2,928 to 3,832.

New Gloucester’s tally was 1,136 to 1,675.

Gray’s was 1,792 to 2,157.

The bond was to pay for a classroom addition at Gray-New Gloucester Middle School and renovations to Gray-New Gloucester High School and Gray-New Gloucester Middle School, including athletic fields.
