PORTLAND — Drivers in Maine are getting more good news.
Gasoline price-monitoring website GasBuddy.com reports Monday that the average cost of a gallon of gas in Maine is down another nickel to $3.03.
Maine gas prices have now dropped more than 31 cents per gallon in the past month and are about 37 cents lower per gallon that at this time last year.
However, the price in Maine remains 9 cents per gallon above the national average.
The Maine price is based on a survey of more than 1,200 gas stations.
A company analyst says the national average is at its lowest since December 2010, but is not expected to drop much lower.
