- Farmington veterans Peter Tracy, left, and Stephan Bunker, right, members of American Legion Post 28, hold a metal sign in the form of check created by Signworks for the Post to use during celebrations and parades, Tracy said. Each veteran makes out a blank check to the United States when they join the military. The cost can be up to life or limb. They are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year so we can all relax, he said.
