Craft fair Nov. 15 at Telstar High
BETHEL — A craft fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday Nov. 15, at Telstar High School cafeteria. It benefits the Telstar Alumni Association.
There will be crafts, a Chinese auction and a bake sale. To rent a space or for more information, call Sally at 875-3335.
Region 9 plans intro computer course
MEXICO — Interested in the computer field, but not sure where to start? Want to get a job in the computer industry, but don’t have the skills you need to get a job?
Region 9 Adult Education is running an introductory certification class starting Tuesday, Nov. 18. This class will get students ready to take the national COMP TIA A+ test that is needed for many entry level jobs in the computer field.
The class will meet Tuesdays from 6 to 8:30 p.m. until March 31 with time off for school breaks. Students will get hands-on instruction from a certified COMP TIA A+ trainer and a discount on the national test. This course is not easy and requires regular homework, but if you want to see if you can make it in the computer field, this might be the class for you.
