The Weary Club to meet Nov. 15
NORWAY — The members and friends of The Weary Club will meet for coffee Saturday, Nov. 15, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Members and others are invited to meet at the club for coffee, doughnuts, conversation and an opportunity to look at the club’s new roof.
Free community supper is Nov. 21
NORWAY — The Second Congregational Church, 205 Main St., will have its monthly Free Community Supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21.
In honor of Thanksgiving this month’s menu will be a holiday-worthy turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, squash, peas, cranberry sauce, rolls and desserts by Bruce.
The church would like to thank the generous people and businesses who have donated food for this and previous dinners, who have come and helped with the work as well as the culinary arts program at the high school, who will be cooking and carving the turkeys. Support from the community is always welcome.
Each month more than 100 people attend these free suppers and last year 185 people came to the November dinner. Everybody is welcome to come, eat and socialize.
