As a proud but disappointed independent, it never fails to amaze me that the American public — distrustful and dissatisfied with the entire Congress — once again defies logic and votes the exact same people back into office.
How many times does Congress have to fail before the voters use their voting power to affect real change?
Since they accomplished almost nothing during the past six years except to block progress, what makes one think that re-electing them will solve anything? To paraphrase Albert Einstein, to keep voting the same way over and over and expect different results is the definition of insanity.
I wonder if the voters in the United States will ever take the Founding Fathers’ advice and never have career politicians?
I doubt it, but I keep hoping.
