RAYMOND — Calling all talented performers: singers, dancers, musicians, magicians, comedians, improv groups, actors, jugglers, speed knitters. If you’ve got talent, we want to see it.
Lake Region Community Theatre will present the second annual Lake Region’s Got Talent contest. Large audiences enjoyed lots of talent last year. Come share your talent.
Open auditions will occur at CenterStage Dance Studio, 1233 Roosevelt Trail, Raymond (Raymond Shopping Center beside the post office) from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, and from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7.
Any person or group may audition. There is a one-time $15 audition fee with no need to pre-register.
A sound system will be available. Bring a CD, or connect your own MP3 player, iPod or phone to the system.
Performances will be held at The Magic Lantern in Bridgton. Quarter-finals will take place at 1 p.m. on Jan. 11 and 18, semi-final at 1 p.m. Jan. 25 and final at 1 p.m. Feb. 8.
For the quarter-finals, a panel including performance experts will choose the acts that will move on. During the semi-finals and finals, judges and the audience will select those that move on and ultimately the winners.
Winners will share $1,000 in cash and prizes.
