RUMFORD — Shirley and Steven Walker of Bethel are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Kristy Remington of Bethel, to Shawn York of Rumford, son of Frank Belskis of Mexico and the late Vickie McNeil of Rumford.

Ms. Remington is a 1998 graduate of Telstar Regional High School and a 2014 graduate of Kaplan University with a medical assistant degree. She currently works for Dr. Robert Sylvester in Lewiston.

Mr. York is a 1993 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and currently works for Richard Carrier Trucking.

The wedding will be held on Sept. 12 in Rumford.
