DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Congregational Church will host its annual Christmas fair from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 6.
Member Beverly Glover said a brunch of quiche, fruit, homemade doughnuts, muffins, sweet breads and a beverage will be available for $6.
This year, attendees must donate a canned food or a coat to have the chance to win a $100 Visa card.
“Last year, people would be given a card when they came into the fair and would have to go from table to table and get their card punched in,” Glover said. “If they got each table to punch their card, they would be entered to win the door prize. This year, we’re requiring people to donate an item in order to receive the card.”
There will also be a men’s table with homemade rolls, baked beans, maple syrup, fruits, jellies, mincemeats and some craft items.
Glover said Leslie Skibitsky bought a large number of wreaths from Hannaford and decorated them for the sale.
“There may be a few wreaths left by the time the fair comes around, but most people preordered the wreaths,” she said.
The fair has been around for years, Glover said.
“I came back to Dixfield Congregational Church about 10 years ago, and we did the fair every year since then,” she said. “Even before that, I know that the fair was held, so it’s been around for quite a while.”
