LEWISTON — Stephen and Susan Miller of Lewiston are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Miller of Charlotte, N.C., to Michael Powell of Charlotte, N.C., son of Robert and Kathy Powell of Monroe, N.C.

Miss Miller received a culinary degree from Johnson and Wales in Charlotte, N.C. She owns and operates a personal chef and catering business called Sweet and Savory.

Mr. Powell is a 2007 graduate of Sun Valley High School and is IT manager for the corporate offices of Ashley Furniture in North Carolina.

The wedding will be held on May 23 at the Belk Estate at Lake Norman in North Carolina.
