DIXFIELD — The Board of Selectmen will meet with the Western Maine Economic Development Council at 4:30 p.m. Monday evening at Ludden Memorial Library for a presentation on what the council has to offer, Town Manager Carlo Puiia said Friday morning.
The meeting will precede the selectmen’s regularly scheduled 5:30 p.m. board meeting.
Puiia said that the selectmen invited surrounding River Valley towns to attend the meeting.
“It’s basically a general presentation on what services the Western Maine Economic Development Council has to offer,” Puiia said. “The last I heard, the council’s president, Glen Holmes, will be leading the discussion, but I haven’t talked to him yet today, so that could change.”
The meeting will likely run for an hour, Puiia said, though it may run over.
“I figured an hour will give the Western Maine Economic Development Council time to introduce who they are, what projects they’re working on and what their mission is in Oxford County,” Puiia said.
