BATH — The Chocolate Church Arts Center will turn the holiday spotlight on family entertainment with the theater production of “A Fairy Tale Christmas Carol.” The cast of 10 adults and 20 kids from the local area will perform on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 18, 19, and 20 at 7 p.m, and Sunday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m.
According to Jennifer DeChant, CCAC executive director, this is an opportunity for families to enjoy a holiday experience together. It is a tradition that the Chocolate Church Arts Center produces a theater show highlighting the Christmas spirit for all ages.
This classic Dickens work takes on a new twist as it is told by nursery tale characters we all grew up with – Mother Goose, Hansel and Gretel, and Cinderella, to name a few. Scrooge, who becomes the Big Bad Wolf in this witty re-telling of the old story, is played by Thom Watson, a local director and actor, and Mother Goose is played by Deborah Patterson.
Others in the cast include Dylan Withers, Natalie Damon, Drew Walden, Olivia Cunningham, Sam Chipman, Melinda Baxter, Molly Poulin, Issac Ensel, Evelyn Ringrose, Jessica Arsenault, Ann King, Victoria LaRose, Maggie Chipman, Liam Allen, Elena Trundy, Wayne Cochrane, Eoghan Sailer, Elijah Damon, Emily Minott, Shirley Bernier, Don’yell Rector, Isabel Strelneck, Gaffney Rector, Bryanna Ringrose, Tamara Lilly and Jonah Smith.
The Chocolate Church Arts Center is at 804 Washington Street. Tickets are $10 and available at www.chocolatechurcharts.org or by calling 207-442-8455.
