AUBURN — Planning Board workshop and regular meeting in the City Council Chamber of Auburn Hall. The workshop begins at 5 p.m., and topics include board bylaws and procedures. The regular meeting begins at 6 p.m., and topics include a special-use exemption for Auto Zone, 192 Center St., a zoning change for 113 Woodbury Road and a study of Auburn’s agriculture zone.
LEWISTON — City Council workshop, 6 p.m. in the chamber in City Hall. Councilors will meet with Lewiston’s legislative delegation to talk issues about local and state government. Councilors are also scheduled to discuss the county budget and county commissioner salary increases.
WEDNESDAY, Dec. 10
AUBURN — Citizens Advisory Committee meeting, 5:45 p.m. in the second-floor community room in Auburn Hall. The committee’s job is to review community needs and recommend changes to the city’s Community Development program.

THURSDAY, Dec. 11
AUBURN — Public informational meeting to discuss a new tool to provide maps and city data to residents called MapAuburn, 5:30 p.m. in the second-floor community room in Auburn Hall.
LEWISTON — Franco-American traditional Christmas ham dinner followed by carols sung in French by a small choir at the next La Rencontre, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Franco Center, cost, $8 per person.
LEWISTON — Technology Petting Zoo to provide the public with hands-on experience with popular e-books and computer tablets. Lewiston Public Library will offer two drop-in events to allow the public to try the devices, 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 13 and 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 16. Petting zoo will include Nook SimpleTouch, Nook HD+, Kindle Fire, Kindle PaperWhite, Apple iPad Mini and Google Nexus. Both sessions free, open to public.
