1953 – 2014
LEWISTON — Daniel Henry Chasse, 61, of Lewiston, died on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at his home.
He was born on April 13, 1953, in Lewiston, the son of the late Henry and Priscilla (Beaulieu) Chasse.
He grew up in Lewiston and attended local schools where he met and later married his best friend, Nancy McGraw.
Dan operated Dan Chasse’s Plumbing and Heating Repair for 10 years. He was later employed by Central Maine Medical Center in the Plant Operations Department where he worked for 23 years. He had licenses in plumbing, heating, medical gas, backflow prevention and electrical.
Dan was a man of all trades. He knew how to build and fix just about anything and was always the first to lend a helping hand. He had a kind and generous soul and touched the lives of many. He enjoyed spending time with his family and making things for his kids and grandchildren. He played the drums and had a love of music.
He leaves behind his best friend and wife of 40 years, Nancy; his daughter, Karen Hughes and husband, Steven, of Lewiston; his daughter, Kimberly Corcoran and husband, Christopher, of Sandwich, Mass.; his mother-in-law, Florence McGraw of Lewiston; his grandchildren, Hunter, Hailey and Haydin Hughes, all of Lewiston; a sister, Diane Tardif and husband, Edward, of Sabattus; and many nieces, nephews and other loved ones.
