PORTLAND — Escape from the hustle and bustle of today’s holiday season by experiencing Christmas at Victoria Mansion: One Hundred Years Past. Venture back in time and marvel at the wonder of Christmas in 1914. This season’s Christmas décor will reflect how Edwardian elegance graced the Mansion’s interiors as the First World War in Europe still seemed an ocean away.
Located in the heart of Portland’s Historic District at 109 Danforth Street, the Mansion is open for tours daily, 11 a.m. with last admission at 4:30 p.m. through Sunday, Jan. 4, excluding Christmas and New Year’s Day. Hours are extended with last admission at 6:30 p.m. every Monday for evening tours and shopping.
No admission is required to visit the Carriage House Museum Shop for unique Victorian-inspired holiday gifts. For event listings, group, family, senior and other tour discounts, visit victoriamansion.org.
Admission for adults is $15; for senior citizens (62 and over) $13.50; AAA members $13.50; students age 6-17 is $ 5 each; and under 6 are admitted free. Family rate of $35 applies to two adults of the same household and up to five children age 6-17.
