WILTON — John and Patty Schoen of Wilton are thrilled to announce the engagement of their son, Machias William Schoen, to Breen Bridget Nolan, daughter of Maureen M. Nolan of Batavia, N.Y., and David and Carol Nolan of Harwich, Mass.

After meeting in New York City in 2010, the couple traveled the west together before settling in Las Vegas, where Miss Nolan works as an accounts manager in the media business and Mr. Schoen works as a manager in the solar industry. Though their interests are many and varied, their primary joy is in each other.

The two plan to marry in Las Vegas in the spring 2015.
