MECHANIC FALLS — Shirley Marquis and Wayne and Patty Marquis of Mechanic Falls are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Sara Marquis of Haverhill, Mass., to Ryan Barker of Byfield, Mass., son of Milton and Nancy Barker of Byfield, Mass.
Ms. Marquis is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College with a bachelor’s degree in ancient history and of Strayer University with a master’s degree in marketing. She is currently working for Nexcelom Bioscience in Lawrence, Mass., as a marketing coordinator since 2014.
Mr. Barker is a finish carpenter and currently working for Merricon Construction in Methuen, Mass., as a lead carpenter since 2007.
The wedding will be held on March 15 in Portsmouth, N.H.
